Welcome to the Department of Applied Mechanics, IIT Delhi
The Department of Applied Mechanics is one of the oldest departments at IIT Delhi, fostering a tradition of teaching and research at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Our faculty members and students are engaged in cutting-edge research across various thrust areas, including but not limited to aerodynamics and acoustics, biomechanics and soft robotics, environmental and atmospheric flows, fluid instabilities and turbulence, machine-learning-assisted mechanics, multifunctional materials and structures, and multiscale modeling.
